Fishing in Mongolia

Arrive in Olgii. Our team will pick you up at airport. You will meet your guide and driver. Same day start driving to first fishing spot. This place will be “Dayan lake” which is 180 km away from Olgii. After arriving there you will walking around and enjoy nice views of western Mongolia. Same day you will have time for making ready your fishing equipment. Have you dinner and do camping!

Today you will do fishing in Dayan lake in Altai Tavan Bogd national park. Dayan lake is beautiful place where many Kazakh nomads spend their summer. During that trip you will come across beautiful landscapes and Kazakh culture. During your fishing breaks you will have chance to visit local nomads and meet their lifestyle!

Today after good breakfast you will drive to another beautiful spot which is very famous in western Mongolia with its beautiful landscapes and crystal clear lakes. You will do fishing right from legendary Khoton lake. By the time you will also have chance to visit historical places that located just next to Khoton lake where you will see large amount of rock paintings from ancient Turkic age or from Bronze age. You will camping next to the Khoton lake. According to your luck dinner will be fish!

After few days of fishing you can even do some break and do different highlighting activities in western Mongolia. So, Today you will drive to Tavan Bogd mountain area where many Tuvan nomads spend their summer. This very beautiful valley is located just few KMs from Russia, China and Kazakhstan. River is there as white as a milk flowing from glacier and dividing the valley into two. You will do camping just next to that Tuvan families and experience differences of western Mongolian nomadic life. Of course it is up to you to join Tuvan hend made VODKA drinking and chatting.

Earlier morning you will do horse riding towards Tavan Bogd mountains. After 3 hours of riding you will reach 20 km long Potaniin glacier. You are able to walk on the glacier and enjoy running and shining ice river views. After lunch you will ride back to White river valley and camp.

Today early morning start driving back to Olgii town. On your way you will stop to visit Golden Eagle hunter’s family. Same day you will arrive to Olgii and stay at local Ger Camp or Hotel. During your dinner time you will enjoy Kazakh traditional folk concert (live music).

Today you will choose different destination for last fishing day. Road is good asphalt. After 45 km you will reach biggest lake in Bayan-Olgii province, Tolbo lake. You are free for whole day fishing and spend night around the edge of that lake.

Drive back to Olgii town.
